My Voyeurmods.com Experience

Glad I saw this, I am getting ready to drop about $250 on some new WC gear. Will most likely stick with jab-tech now.

Yea thats what I did when I saw this thread. I was thinking of ordering a PA160 from them since they had just lowered their price to what everyone else had. Then I saw this and I decided to wait for DD to get them back in stock, and order my tubing and some new fans from jab-tech.

i've ordered from jab-tech a few different times. always shipped the same day. they rock.

I just dont see how they can charge a restocking fee if they never had stock? I for one am very glad that I read this thread, as tons of people ask me " man, who do you order all your watercooling stuff from"? Its not voyuermods!

I placed an order with Voyermods on the 21st of February, cancelled on the 22nd. They charged my CC on the 22nd. Called and was informed that it would be 3-5 days before they would refund my CC. Called again on the 27th and a woman there told me she had taken care of it that morning. Today, the 28th I still don't see it reflected on CC. I contacted my CC company and will be filing a dispute if I don't see it tomorrow. Luckily I saved all their e-mails which I will be faxing to my CC company. Well, the bottom line - never again, they have lost another potential customer.

Yeah go figure the second i go to write my CC an email about these guys i get an email saying they shiped it. I swear i'm never using these slacking SOB's again.

VM has lost a lot of face with the enthusiast crowd...The community is not going to tolerate that kind of business.

Ya know what, Bigfoot Computers does the same thing, has product being listed as in stock, but it is really backordered. So you know what I do? I call first. Simple as that. If you are ordering an expensive item from the internet, get all your bases covered before you submit payment.

When I went to buy my Apex Ultra kit from Bigfoot, they said in stock, I called, and they said it was backordered, probably for the next 2 weeks. So 2 weeks later I ordered it, now I have it, no problems.

However, when I ordered MCT-5 coolant, also from Bigfoot, it said in stock, I didn't call, and it turned out to be backordered. That sucked. However it wasn't a setback as I didn't need it until I got the Apex kit, and it ended up getting shipped all together.

I had some issues with VoyeurMods also. I orderd a modded case from them. I placed the order and within a day, I get the "Sent to Shipping" change to my order. Cool, must have had a case already modded. Nope, it took a whole 22 days before they even shipped the case.

Okay, I understand that modding a case can take time and all, but they didn't inform me on what was going on. Shoot, on the site they have all the different status's on modding. Like getting supplies, modding, etc. Didn't bother using it. Went to the E-Support to open up a ticket to get a status update. Nothing, their E-Support site was broken. I could open a ticket, but couldn't view it. Nowhere on there site do they have any other way of contacting them. Well, I got an confirmation email on my order, so I simply emailed that. They said they answered the two tickets, but I didn't get any type of answer from it. Normally, it'll email me saying the tickets were updated, but nada.

Anyways, the case finally came in a month later. Course parts of the case where missing. The Lian Li V-2000 was made to be modded. The hdd cages can be unscrewed off. VoyeurMods takes one of the hdd cages and cuts it in half and moves it elsewhere, but the other hdd cage is left untouched. I never received the other hdd cage. The V-2000 also comes with a fan vent type thing on the back of the case. I also didn't receive this.

Needless to say, I will never order another modded case from VoyeurMods. This was pretty disappointing, especially since they've done such a good job with my regular part orders (non-modded items).

At least they did a good job on modding the case for me. Also, I cleaned up the wiring, just haven't took new pics.

I have threads like this at numerous computer enthusiast forums regarding what happened with my December 6th order with Voyeurmods.com, i encourage you to register and respond. I have unfortunately read of this same occurence happening to others dealing with you. I lost $40 to your backwards business practices, but i wonder how much you are loosing by treating customers this way? Your website has been put under the "Sketchy" section at numerous forums now, if you want to do something good for your business, register on the forums and talk to your customers.

Sincerely,
Chris Prosser

this was sent nearly 2 weeks ago, and obviously there hasn't been anybody from VM who has come in here to answer questions and deal with this. I think that should tell peeps all they need to know about what VM's priorities are and how they handle their business. enough said.

My bud topcat989 is telling the truth, I'll never order from a company that doesnt have the balls to respond to complaints.
