Okay I have been using raid0 forever now, and I'm ready to stray away. I haven't had a single crash so reliability isn't scaring me, I just don't see many benefits in daily usage.
I use my system for gaming and as a HTPC. Currently I'm on 2x80gb sata drives, so I need some honest advice. (please don't quote the reliability as an issue, I have that under control with backups and such).
I'm debating on whether to get a 74gig raptor, keep one of my 80gb drives and my 160gb ATA drive as backups/recording to them, or to go with a 320gig seagate 7200.10 and my 160gb backup. Or to just keep my current setup.
Which will give me the best performance in youz guys opinions? I think my main issue comes while I'm gaming/recording at the same time. The raid0 setup seems to slow in those instances.
