Basically, as you can see..The higher the CPU speed, the higher the CPU score and lower the SuperPI score.
But, its having a negative affect on gaming. The FPS lowers with higher speeds, in call of duty 2, which is the main game i play, the change is much more drastic. However it doesnt have a stress test so i can benchmark it.
At the moment, im settling for using ASUS O.C profile to switch between stock and 3.6GHz. 3.6GHz for general use, while folding 24/7. Then when i go to play games, i will reboot, go into BIOS and load the stock settings profile.
Judging from the CPU score and SuperPI score, i can assume 3.6GHz is faster for folding, however the gaming issue is baffling me.
Call of duty 2 runs at around 300-400fps running around the map on stock speeds, but at 3.6GHz its about 30-40fps. The CSS one isnt so bad, but at least it shows that it does have a negative affect, if there was a benchmark for COD2 I would of used that.
All of the overclocks are stable, btw. Theyre tested with 4 hours orthos and 30 minutes OCCT.
Is there anything wrong with this?
Is there anything I can actually do, or is this the only workaround for it?
