This is suposed to be the end of a worklog but I was so wrapped up in the work I forgot to take middle pics... I was going to post this on my site but its having some problems right now and I just finished it up and wanted some feedback. Here are some pics of the finished product.

I was going for a industrial feel, and I liked the way the stock lian li windows look so I decided to merge those two ideas.

This is my first case mod and I am VERY happy with the results. It took about 2 days, tell me what you guys think.

It looks very nice, although i would have preferred the bolts closer to the edge of the window. The window looks great though, just gotta put a chip in your mobo and your set.

Yeh my PSU is backordered so I decided to only install my opty when my PS arrives, no point in putting it in before.
 
looks really good :)

only thing i would have tried would be to grind/polish off the bolt strength stamps on the heads
 
I agree with you, I was going to do that but I didnt really have the right tool, I will be looking into that though.
 
could probably use a dremel with a sanding drum... shouldnt take much work really, you could do it right on the case if you had the pen tool attachment
 
I personally prefer the look of slot 1/2 round screw heads. You can get 'em in stainless as well. But a very clean and professional look. Nicely done. :cool:

I believe you're talking about button head screws.. and yes, they are nice too but better with a hex in my opinion. The coolest thing is you can get them in any anodized color you want too
 
i did almost exactly the same thing on my v-1000b...i wanted to stay with black look so used tinted plexi and black allen-key bolts. mounted my window on the outside tho...beveled the edges of the plexi (easier said than done lol)
 
Nice clean look. I haven't seen those bolts used on a side window before. Me likes. :)
 
I didnt take any back shots, didnt see the need since u dont see it, but I can take some if u want.
