I just put an order in for my computer to be built. These are the components:

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160
Power Supply: Corsair TX650W
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
Memory: OCZ Platinum XTC DDR2-800 Dual Channel 4GB
Video Card: GeForce 8800GT 512MB
Hard Drive: Seagate 320GB + Maxtor 60GB

I'd love for any feedback, and I'd like to thank everyone here that helped me pick the best components possible.

PSU seems a bit overkill, 550W will more than suffice.
Other than that seems great.

Thanks guys!
@altcon: I originally was planning on getting the VX550W, but today when I went into the store the guy told me that the TX650W was 4 dollars cheaper. :)

Where are you ordering from ?
How much are you going to pay for it?

Good luck with it enjoy.

A local store called NCIX. The prices are higher than you'd see on NewEgg, but NewEgg doesn't ship to Canada. The CPU is 74, the PSU is 96, the MoBo is 99, the Memory is 106, the VGA is 200, and installation is 25.

why didn't you get a q6600 like everyone else for a little more $$

Isn't a q6600 like 4x the price?

Maxtor 60GB

Good luck with your maxtor drive, before they were bought out by Seagate, I had a few cause they were cheap. Well, not a single drive lasted more than a year, bad batch for me maybe or just a crap company.. Haven't tried them since Seagate bought em out.

I've tried a couple... IIRC, the new Maxtors are rebranded Seagate Barracudas.

Bigger better and cheaper...wow thats a magic combo...
Enjoy your new rig!
