Here are some pics of my first mod. Spec's on the system are in the Sig. I've changed some things from this thread .

This first one is a picture of all the items.

I originally wanted to put the Raptor 150 on top under an acrylic window so the top started out looking like this

However, it was 1) taking too long and 2) going to cost too much to get the acrylic box made to house the raptor so, I changed my mind and decided to put 2 120's up top.

Here are some misc cuts that are going to be used to allow for easier wiring at the rear of the case:

This one is for the Motherboard Power cables:

Reversed the Drive Cage: I drilled a couple of new holes to hold the cage in place.

That's it so far. I'm hoping to have it completed by this weekend so I'll post some more pics when i've done some more to it.

looks good, I think you should cut that oval hole out to match on the black acrylic. Just my $0.02 worth

Actually i'm planning to do that. Just haven't had a chance to go get some more acrylic.

now that you've got that 2x120 hole cut out, you should just make the jump to water cooling with a 240 rad

I want to but I exausted my "Upgrade Funds" so I will have to wait a bit before I go to water cooling.

Yes, it's a Lian Li V1000B Plus II.

Where did you get that fan grill?

*edit looking good so far, agreed that watercooling would be pretty sweet though*

Didn't get a picture of it with the side on yet. :(

I know it's a lot of black but i've got some Florescent Green Acrylic that I bought to add some color to it but just haven't come up with a design for it yet.

Nice mod, that case is very nice.

The motherboard cover is too much. It also looks like it will cut off any airflow to the motherboard, which can be a bad thing...there are things on motherboards that need to be cooled a little.

The mobotherboard cover is about 3"-4" above the motherboard. Think it will cause problems being that high above it?

Nah, it should be ok. It looked really close on the picture.

does that acrylic "mobo cover" serve any other porpuse than looks. i've seen that kind of thing
been used by guys how have watercooling rig's, to protect them selfs from leaks.

You know what you could do? Drill an 80mm hole or two in that black motherboard stealth plate, and attach some clear fans. It's a GREAT way to cool your RAM.

GREAT STUFF MAN !! can you make a mod for my case too ? ;) j/kin hehe

It's just for looks. Though I do want to go with water cooling sometime in the near future.

I actually thought about putting this over the top of the RAM area just because it's just sitting around not being used.

HD Cooler

But i've also thought about putting cutting out a Mandalorian Skull out of some FL Green acrylic i've got laying around.

Awesome mod, + very nice [H]ardware. Thanks for the grill link, will be buying one soon. Anyway, what did you use to cut the rectangle? If you used a Dremel, what blade? Thanks a lot.

I used a Dremel I think it was THIS wheel but I could be mistaken. I would have to go home and check it if you want to know for sure.

Awesome, Thanks for the link and reply. Don't worry about checking, that wheel looks like a good recommendation. Thanks again
