Hey guys.. I'll start off with a bit about myself, I'm javi, I live in Florida, Miami. I've always lovedd gaming, but was very limited to do so. I do own an xbox360 where I play cod and bf3, however, it's not the same. I played bf2 in my pc 1/2 years and ago and I lovedd it. But then bf3 came out and I had the idea of building a new pc. Reason I hadn't built one before was because I'm sure my dad wouldnt have given me $500-600 cash to mess around building a pc. I am now 18, so I'm good there =p. Anyyway i will answer the 10 questions
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
I will be gaming, specifically bf3, gta4, wow, and simple mmo's that don't really require much of a goodd pc. Photoshop aswell, but that you can do with pretty much anything. Web browsing too I guess.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
I'd say it would be around 500-600, if the difference to having a much better pc requires me to spend 700, I will. I start working the summer june10th so I'll be able to make some money.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
U.S, Florida, Miami
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
I need.. Case, power supply, motherboard, CPU, memory ram, video card, storage (maybe a cheap ssd?) and I was looking to see if i could possibly get an optical drive with blue ray? if it's too expensive then nah..
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Well, I have 2 computers, one is a desktop and this one I'm using now is an hp touchscreen so it's not useful. As for the desktop, I'm will to take out and use anything that will be useful for the build. I own an asus dual-core cpu e5300 @2.60GHz, 4gb ram, 64-bit, win7 ultimate, 600gb hard drive, has an nvidia geforce 9500 gt, this allows me to play mmos like wow, and other fun games but i doubt it would handle anything else. everything else is stock pretty much, the system model is CM5570.
6) Will you be overclocking?
I'd like to if possible, but I doubt it with this budget, maybe I'm wrong?
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
I have a 19 inch I think, hd display getaway, but I will be selling for $50 to a friend I think.. For now I could use my tv, it's a 32 inch lcd lg, that's plugged in my desktop pc.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Well, right now I only have about 200 dollars. Hopefully by june 10th I'd have 300 or so.. Then in 2 more weeks I could get the required 700$. I'm also looking to sell this hp touchsmart, for around 400$, if I do manage to sell it, I will increase budget to 800 perhaps. Or just buy accesories for the pc, like speakers, monitor, etc.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
I don't really know what most of that means, I just would like to play bf3 not on ultra, but atleast high.. if not, then medium. Whatever I can get for the $600 budget.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yeah I do own a license, ultimate, 64bit. No worries there.
That's pretty much it, for casing, I'd like a case with clear sidepanel to admire my first work lol. And some led lights but that's later. Ahm, so yeahh that's pretty much it. I wanted to get the hdd 600gb and put it to install programs and stuff, and then a cheap sdd to install bf3, gta4 and play there? I'm a noob at this kind of stuff so yeah =/.
If there's any more information you might need, just ask!, thank youu very much. I will name the first build after this forum, with stickers and everything
.
edit: I was also willing to spend the current money I have now and get started with all this. I'd to buy case and whatever else I can buy.
Oh I forgot, I'd like to add that, I go for intel all the way.
and this card looks really nice! what do u guys think?
