Hi, I made a subwoofer for myself a while ago. In short it has Seas l26roy 10" driver with 50mm xmax in a 60liter reflex enclosure tuned to 20hz powered with Hypex DS2.0 amp. Thanks for watching!

Here's the result:

Thanks for comments! Sound is really tight and dry, no boom when placed correctly. Bass notes are easy to follow, usually with bad sub you need to adjust the level between songs but not with this. Im really happy with the result!

Great idea to get around the difficult issue of sealing the MDF by using those plates! I've been interested in the seas sub ever since it came out, those specs are quite nice :) Perhaps I should post my sub project here as well, though mine isn't as shiny as yours.

I've been wanting to build my own subwoofer. How much did this cost? Sorry I can't read that article.

Thanks again! Sound quality is on par with my Genelec 8030's. can't really tell where the speakers roll of and subwoofer kicks in. I've had subs which don't integrate nearly as well as this Seas. Seas l26roy can play up to 1000hz so it could be used as 3 way main speakers bass driver, maybe the ability to play clean higher sounds makes it integrate. I posted finnish url by mistake.

Here's the project log in english: http://metku.net/index.html?path=mods/subwoofer/index_eng

That's a beautiful build. Hell you can find stuff on the commercial market that doesn't look that good. I suck at the woodworking which is one of the big things that keeps me from ever doing any DIY with speakers. I just buy mine :D.

Dude..if you ever start making these for profit let me know..Awesome job!!

Looks terrific! Hope you get many years of great service.
And I wish I had your skills and patience.

Again, NICE JOB!!
