price comes out to ~$2300
 
Looks pretty solid - where are you getting it, because $2300 seems high (unless those are expensive monitors). Is that a WD Caviar Green 1TB, or Black? If Black, you can check out the Samsung F3 instead, it is a few dollars cheaper with equal or greater performance.
 
Do not got the storm scout.. The case is a bitch. HAF 912 or CM 690. Also a [URL="Dell u2311]http://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-U2311H-Widescreen-DisplayPort/dp/B003QTKV9W[/URL] would look a lot better
 
Where are you buying the parts from? What parts do you have already?

I don't know about the Storm Scout or the HAF 912, but the CM690 II Advanced includes an SSD adapter as part of the package.

Do you honestly need a windowed case to the point that an inferior case is worth it? Ia sk because the Storm Scout is cramped and has really shitty cable management. Why show off that? The Corsair Carbide 400R actually costs about the same than Storm Scout but has a whole bunch of features that the Storm Scout doesn't have:
- USB 3.0 front panel
- Significantly better cable management
- Roomier
- Backed by a two year warranty
- Costs roughly the same:

You are offering me things that I do not need.

I have a modular PSU for cable management, don`t care about usb that much, why would i just want extra room, warranty for 2 years i don`t care, no window

if i were going with a windowless case I would get it, but you`re just saying, why not go with something you don`t want

So you want a cramped case with shitty cable management with a window? Fine, go for the Storm Scout. At the end of the day, it's your money and your problem.

But like I said earlier, the CPU, mobo, RAM, SSD, HDD, PSU, and HSF choices looks fine to me.

I concur Danny's recommendation on the case. Cramped cases suck.

Here's the deal:

Cases that are cramped from rear to front restrict the length of the graphics cards that you can install in a case. Some cases are so cramped from rear to front that a mid-range GPU (graphics card) with a length of 9 inches can barely fit inside without being blocked by the hard drive(s) or even the case's nonremovable drive cage bracket.
 
so would you happen to know if a Sapphire 6950 with an Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 mobo would fit in a storm scout? just randomly guess off the top of your head

The Storm Scout has a max GPU length of 10.6". A reference HD 6950 2GB and HD 6970 2GB card has a length of 10.75".

As Danny noted, the HD 6950 will not fit the Storm Scout case. And even an HD 6800 series is a tight squeeze inside the Storm Scout, especially with a hard drive installed in the bay that's inline with the PCI-e x16 slot.

Windowed, well ventilated, dust filtered, and able to fit Sapphire 6950, for $100 price point.

If that does not exist, I will get one without a window.
 
Look at the Lian Li Lancool PC-K58W and PC-K62 cases

I have the storm scout and the Sapphire HD6850 (product dimension is listed at 14.8 x 9.8 x 4 inches), it fits nicely in my case.

The Sapphire 6950 you've mentioned have the same dimension as the Sapphire HD6850. So, I don't see any reason why it wont fit.

Yes, I agree that the case is a bit cramp, but that didn't really bother me, as like you, I don't intend to take it apart once it's built. I like this case actually. Just the right size, it's quiet, and it looks good.
 
well i would actually change my mind anyway and get this lancool k62 because it looks amazing

i like the fact it has good airflow without making a duct in the window

also i will have to assume it will fit the hyper 212 evo
