Multiple fans per channel?

If I didnt want to go the nasty route of using Y splitters, how can I connect multiple fans on each channel of my controller?

how is the soldering typically done... would I simply cut the connectors off the fans and then solder them directly to the controller?

Thats the problem I had PaHick, most looked cheap and also I didnt like the multi function one's. This one here I fell in love with... looks nice, LEDs from what I read in a few reviews arent overpowering to the eye and its got 6 channels, 30w per channel... so I can hook up 3 or 4 of my Yate Loons to each channel, giving me a max amount of 24 fans.

What I do... is snip the connectors to the fans, connect all the fans together, then re-solder on a a few feet of cable, with a 3pin connector on the end.

So, you make your own Y connector...

Then plug them right into a channel on the controller.

Noob question... fan has the 3 pin connector for plugging into a mobo or onto a fan controller, what the heck is the 4 pin molex connector for that looks like it should be hooked up to a PSU?

Many fans come with both so you can plug it into which ever ONE, you want. If the fan has the third yellow wire on the 3 pin motherboard connector for monitoring fan rpm you will not get that if you use the molex instead. So it just a "universal" power thing, plug it into a motherboard 3 pin connector OR plug it into a spare molex, but not both.

I often cut off the part I do not need with small cutters as close (if not actually inside) to the connector housing as I can get. Make sure you look at how they "daisy chained" the wiring if you do this or you might end up with a fan with no connector at all.

Thanks for the clairfication... and trust me I will be looking over the wiring VERY carefully before cutting anything lol.
