MSI K8N Neo4 Plat and RAID1

Have 2x200GB Maxtors running RAID1.

Windows taskbar shows "Safely Remove Hardware" icon...even if I set it to "always hide" it just sits there laughing at me.

Is this normal or is there some way I can get that icon out of my dang task bar?

New install of XP Pro w/ SP2 with:
MSI K8N Neo4Plat
A64 3500+
X800 XL
2x512 Corsair 3200

Maybe if you don't touch it for a while it will be hidden with the other icons?

Yeah, that's about the best I can do...seems others with this board are having the same issue, while other nForce 4 and/or other RAID boards do not necessarily exhibit this icon.

Hoping a later BIOS revision will alleviate.

Is it caused by the "hot swap" feature? I have the Neo4 SLI and I don't have any hardware icon even though I'm using SATA drives. Not using RAID though.

Assuming it is due to RAID setup and hotswap feature...if you could truly disable the icon...I guess you would not get a notice on a HD failure. Seems that could be worked around, though, fairly easily.
