I fell in love with Vista's Media Player 11 for it's ease of use in playing by sorting albums with the album art...it's just too cool.

They finally released it for XP, it's the same as the Vista version if anyone is interested...I definitely think it's worth trying.
 
You obviously mean the Beta, since the final build is not yet released.

The beta has been out there for ages man! where are you living? in a cave?

Maybe so...I've been running vista so much I have neglected my XP except when I want to play games.
 
The ONLY gripe I have with WMP 11 is that is does not seem to support DXVA for WMV9 (hd) playback. Does anyone know anything about that?

WMP 11 is great for music subscription downloads ( love URGE) and transfers to MP3 players-- many improvements over WMP 10 in the area of music.
 
It seems to take a good 30seconds or more to load my library. And if I add more music to it, it has to sit and add everything back in it seems which takes several minutes. But I really like it as well.
 
Doesn't do anything for me. I'll stick to winamp and media player classic...
 
Winamp3 + MMD3 skin (horizontal).

I use WMP11 as my default media player 'cause if Winamp opens a random file, it'll erase the current playlist and I have to add songs again.

It's nice to have WMP11 pop up when I wanna preview a file. If I like it, I'll move the file to a permanent folder and add it to Winamp.

I really like WMP11. I like its default colors and theme, and it's glossy.
 
I loaded iTunes on the wife's PC and I just can't make myself like it. WMP10 is much better for my tastes; haven't tried 11 yet. Kind of tired of the beta thing right now so I'm waiting for the release. VERY interested to see what MS is bringing to the table for their iPod thingie. :D
 
i use media player for movies and stuff because of the random deletion problem winamp has with playing a file, but for music its winamp and play lists hands down :D
 
I am a WinAmper only because of WinAmp TV, if someone made a plugin for WMP to work with TV tuners such as the AIW ones, I would probaby never use WinAmp again.

I like MP 11, but the only thing is when I click to close a video file paying there is a 3 second delay. Not much but irritating.
 
That's funny; as I play a lot of video files on WMP 11 and they all "stop" instantly and "close" instantly. What control are you hitting when you say "close" the video file?

The X on the top right hand corner ;) I think its searching my DVD drive for something.
