We all get mowed over over occasionally (well most of us mortal folders do, anyway ;) )...but Apollo and Sunin have coordinated their attack so that they both mow me over on the same day, same update, next week.

Now I am currently #18 in team total points and #12 in team production so to be so thoroughly crushed in one update is amazing.

We're talking a "tricycle simultaneously hit by a train and a moving van" style of mauling here, at a collective 83k PPD more than I produce.

Not their total production, that's actually how much MORE they produce than I do....
I've started to build a bomb shelter for the event. The cement should be dry by Thursday.
 
Unless the bomb shelter is made out of GPUs I think your done for.

I too am about to get run over, but by HighYeild. I have tried everything I can. This battle has taken me from 1 GPUs to 5.

I have one more boxen in the basement that is running notfreds and giving me 3500 ppd. There is no way I can get the materials in fast enough to stop the mowing..... But I may be able to regain one day if I don't lose too much ground.

 
Wow :eek:, thank you Mr relic for that entertaing (and sad, only kidding) post. It shows the "spirit of competitition" that goes on in this great team. (it also shows that not even the "heaviest folders" are immune to being "mowed" over, except maybe FLECOM) :)

Those two guys, Apollo and Sunin, are definitely "rockin' and rampin'" WTF guys :D

But back on topic, that is some serious mowing, and honestly, the timing couldn't be planned that way if they tried to do it. Keep it up guys.

(I am looking at my parents computer right now wondering if i could get a gpu into it. Little HP might get cracked open later tonight...

It's no a matter of if...... it's a matter of how many "upgrades" you need to support the GPU :D

Nothing wrong with getting mowed over by HighYield. ;) It won't be anything like what relic is going to get by Sunin and APOLLO. We better have an ambulance standing by. He is going to need an IV drip of arctic silver and a big supply of Q6600s and 8800GTs to restore his health.....Scratch that. A good scotch might do the trick. :cool:

I just want to get in the points realm where my attack list has people that aren't Defcon 1. Plus more than 4 active people on the attack list would be nice as well. Ah well. One day I'll reach 1 million pernts, but by then some of you will be rocking 1 million ppd somehow.


 
I am mowing at the top. Just added 3 more blades (24 threads, each, 2.93GHz) to my chassis, today. I have Eagle07 gaining on me, but I am trying to make it a bit tougher for him. I should be able to overtake 4 of the top 5 in the next month or so. Passed through 100M and didn't even notice.

Dude, we seriously need pics of epicness such as this but if you can't, because of employment reasons, we understand. But god damn, I've been noticing you for awhile up there.

Yeah, ebb & flow with the tide I guess. Good to see some old timers still hanging around though.

I'm still rocking some GPU's in my portfolio, but I'm not sure they'll meet the specs to make a difference with the new stuff coming out? Does anyone know what the minimum GPU requirements will be yet?

No real clue, but it does seem that even a gtx 260 might be more than worthwile.

Have to wait and see what the results are.

Thats what I was hoping to hear, since the majority of my GPU's are/ will be of this vintage. :) They've been crunching for 2-3 years on that BA2 board I still ahve in service.

Indeed this is the case, although once the new QRB system is in place, perhaps it will be time to retire pre-Fermi cards from a PPD perspective. This is entirely conjecture on my behalf. Thinking about it logically, if the benchmark machine still uses the stock GTX460, in order to get any QRB, you will need to be using something faster than the benchmark.
