Movie on Android phone pushed to HDTV ?

I downloaded a new Sci Fi TV show onto my PC which is in the Basement, they are about 900MB each episode so far. I am wondering, can I then throw that episode file onto my Android phone, and bring the phone upstairs to my Great Room, and use something like this

To connect the phone to my HDTV, and get the TV show to play on the TV ?

Second the Chromecast recommendation, that's precisely what they're designed for.

The adapter cable working is going to be very specific to the phone you're using. I don't think it's a plug and play for any type c port.

Does the TV have a USB port? Most new TV's do, if so just throw the movies on an external HDD, and plug into the TV.

I think this option its correct via USB to connect your TV.

Or if your TV is connected to the same network as your PC, you can stream over DLNA. Every smart TV has a built-in media player that will either play from devices plugged into USB, or over the network from a DLNA Server.
