We are seeing some of the original Ratpadz finally "wear out." That are 6 to 9 years old. The plastic is deplasticizing or "drying out" in laymen's terms and causing the surfaces to warp. So of the older ones we have do it, and some don't. We used to not be as stringent on our plastic suppliers as we used to be.

At $40, it wasn't cheap. In retrospect, however, I've probably dropped around $250 trying different mousepads (cloth, plastic, teflon, etc.) over the years. None of them came close to my Icemat. :)

I just picked up the Ratpadz GS for the office. If it works out then I'll pick up a few for some of my old clan members that are too poor to afford one. Great price on the GS btw.
