Mounting a Pump Sideways

I have a Laing D5 Pump (Swiftech MCP655).

Due to tube kinking I may need to mount the pump sideways so that it's lying flat on its back. The intake would be pointed straight up and the output would be perpendicular with the case floor.

Would there be any issues with this? Would it affect flow rate or pressure?
 
I do not think so and have never heard of an issue with that. Due to the ceramic ball used as a rotor/impeller bearing I think it would actually be better in several regards including postive priming, no air entrapment.

here is Liang website, if you click on DC pump and then D5 Strong on the left of the page you will go the the basic product page for that pump. Notice the different headpieces. several are made for inline use with the pump body orientated in the direction you wish to use it in. They even show an installaion in that orientation touting how you can remove/replace the motor leaving the headpiece installed.

No worries, not sure what you mean, I turned off private messages and I dont run any IRC or messaging stuff. Paranoid.

I am currently running 2.1V at the timings in my sig I found I had to do that around 870 MHz or I got errors in memtest86+, going to go lapp my IHS now hope to be back in an hour or so. I dont go any higher, I am pretty conservative.

the version number on the sticker is pretty important, there is a post in the memory section that will tell you what chips are behind the heatspreader. All new xms uses ProMOS which are not happy with extream voltages like the micron chips.
 
i think myn are micron (purchased in november). ill try 2.2v see how far i get and stick with that. anything higher will wreck the ram.
 
As long as the INLET to the pump is not facing towards the ground... You'll be 100% fine.
