motherboard upgrade problem

Ok so I have upgraded..well have been upgrading my PC from the as rock dualvsta775 board to the gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L board and I am tring to do a fresh install of windows 7 64 bit on but it will load the dvd and go through the windows 7 logo then bam nothing black screen and if you let it sit for 4 minutes or so and it will flicker with the screen I should be seeing for options to install I made sure the cables tight only 1 stick of ddr2 1066 ocz reaper ram in there took only bare minimal stuff only 1 dvd drive hooked up I just cant figure it out I have been working on this all day ow ya and on top of all that I cant get the memory compatibility sheet up for my motherboard here is the link though someone PLEASE HELP geek s.o.s LOL anyway thanks

Have you tried any of your other sticks of RAM to see if it will work that way? Try loading the optimized default settings in your BIOS as well.
 
can you boot any discs?? try knoppix or ultimate boot cd. if they don't work you know that the problem is in ur configuration...could be BIOS, ram, blown caps, bad DVD drive... the list goes on. gotta tackle em one at a time
