Motherboard that use notebook components?

Is there motherboard with integrated Geforce 9300 or 9400 that use notebook memory and processors?

I think notebook components are only way to get the small case size I want without using huge external AC/DV powers.
 
Possibly. I know there were Pentium M compatible boards a while back so I'm assuming there are similar things for current hardware, but I haven't looked in to it. Newegg and the like clearly don't carry them if they exist, so they're not exactly "mainstream".

What exactly do you want this box to do? If you don't need much CPU power the Atom boards are dirt cheap and will do a lot, and they use almost no power so something like a PicoPSU would be realistic. If you need more power there are some mITX boards with integrated video that would probably also run off a higher rated PicoPSU.

I need 2x2GB ram, at least T9500 (2.5Ghz) processor and 250GB 7200rpm HDD + DVD-RW (slim) drive. I will use it for video/photo editing and HD movies. You can buy very small mini pc with those components, but not with good integrated graphics card like Geforce 9300.

And the reason why I need so small PC is that I need take it with for time to time. I care more about size than price, so the bigger price of notebook components doesn't matter.
 
Why don't you get the 9300-ITX board and put it in a SilverStone SG05-B case? It's powerful enough for a quad CPU, and the case itself isn't really all that big. I've got a case with a PicoPSU, and the SG05, and the SG05 is a lot less wide. Granted, its taller and more cube shaped, but I personally like the SG05 better. It's not as awkward shape-wise, and it allows for powerful components and good cooling while staying in the ITX form factor.

At any rate, check the website minibox.com. They've got some good Carputer stuff, more along the lines of what you need.

No, because notebook screens and resolutions doesn't meet my needs. I need big screen and all 18,4" models have glossy screen what I can't stand and the resollution is 1920x1080 and it's too big for screen that small (well, its huge screen for a laptop). + they all have windows vista and in most models you can't downgrade it to XP.
 
...so get a small laptop, like a 13.3" and just use it with an external screen, keyboard, and mouse.
 
You can get a 15.4 inch notebook with a 1920x1200 res. You can really get any notebook with any screen size with any res, if you look hard enough. And for an 18 inch screen, 1920x1200 is really the best res.
 
Is there 13,3" laptops with specs like that with win XP? Is it possible to upgrade to windows 7 in the future with laptops available now? You can get mini PC with those components for under 1000€ I don't want to pay much more.
 
Even if the laptop comes with vista, you can always put XP on it, and of course 7 will work as well. For what you do, you wouldn't have to spend more than about $800, maybe $1000 at the most, but thats USD. Obviously, you'd be spending less in pounds.
 
I'm from Finland so I'm using € :p

I hate also that you have to install 100 drivers to your laptop before everything works..
 
That's how everything works, regardless of platform. Do it once, image the OS after install. 15 minute restore from then on, problem solved.
 
yea, but does laptops have many processes running? With PC you don't need install drivers for DVD-drive etc.. just pulgin and they will work.

Laptops don't need that much background processes. In fact, you can whither many of the processes of laptop to almost that of a normal desktop. However if you're using Vista or Windows 7 on either a desktop or laptop, LEAVE IT ALONE!.
 
All laptops with those specs costs around 1500€ what I found. Little bit too much. I would pay like 700€ extra to just get that better graphics card (Senyo 610 with same specs minus graphics card is 800€).

u can build one to ur spec and it uses Intel GM965 for video - so that does compare to the 9300/9400. Additionally, you can use an intel mobile extreme proc if you need more horsepower....
