I actually am impressed with Swiftech which is why I've chosen to load my system with their parts. Sure the inside of the Apogee may not look as pretty as the rest of it, but why does it need to?

It is an effective design that does it's job well.

I think it has great asthetics without dominating your case, actually I would prefer a less flashy mounting plate but I know you can't sell anything today without it being "blinged up".

There were no loose shavings in my block, and as for the rough cuts around the edges of the pins they do nothing to hamper the performance of the block, or endanger the life of your system. They are an acceptable cost cutting measure. My first block cost almost twice as much as the apogee.

It also seems to be the only block on the market without a cheap clear acryllic top that will age and crack.

I read your link. You think Gabe is a lying pig huh? Have you met gabe? talked to him? Can you show where he has lied? I agree with you that this "quality" thing is overblown but what is the need to call everyone an idiot? Just stick with the substance and leave out the insults...you will sound more convincing.

Good post...they fixed the "shavings" problem for the most part. I have yet to see someone show me shavings from an mcw60...even if you do, I would like to see if 2-3 times before I find it to be a problem...the apogee had this but was fixed fairly quickly.

Bill, I agree with a lot of what you have to say and I can completely see where you get your views of Swiftech from, but if you left out the insults and people would take you much more seriously :cool:

mione does not have shavings inside of it. I just opened it and it seemed clean. There are some broken pins at the edges, but those are the really small ones.

As far as this post goes, what are other peoples opinions on the MCW60(primarily)/MCW30/Apogee since those three components were swiftechs first at foreign QC. Lets not bash country's workers cuase their just doing their job. If swiftech really wanted quality, they would have kept the parts made in america which is what they were/are doing. Everyone just needs to chill before this lovely :rolleyes: thread gets locked.
 
Bill's a bit harsh but im glad to hear his opinion, especially since he used to be one of the main guys over there at Swiftech. The main point is appears to be that we are used to quality products with high QC. It dont matter where these blocks are made from, all in all its about the QC. Some places overseas have better QC than the states and vice versa. So far the MCW 60 and Apogee still dont seem up to par with previous blocks from Swiftech.

it is the parts made is the US for Swiftech that their non-existant QC failed to detect/correct

no QC related problems with the Chinese parts
the source of components has no necessary bearing on their 'quality'

I also wonder about your 7% ownership in this seemingly worthless stock. Secondly, why hasn't Swiftech filed with the SEC? Are they not publically traded or do there profits stink that badly?
