Ok, so my library is pretty strong and now I'm itching for something new... suggest me some games that I may have missed... things that are too good to miss, or just underrated and not something I would necessarily pick up otherwise...

Heres what I already have:

Dead Rising
Condemned
Crackdown
Halo 3
Gears of War
Psychonauts
Lost Odyssey
Saints Row
Soul Calubur IV
Beautiful Katamari
Mass Effect
GTA IV

and I've got Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Forza 2 on the way with my new Elite

Pretty much any genre works, I'd love a reccomendation for a good 2d fighter, or a god of war style action/adventure game... Deff lacking in that department

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a great shooter. For action/adventure Too Human and Devil May Cry come to mind, but I've only played the demo for both so I can't give them a full recommendation. Dirt is a good racer if you like rally, but it's hard to find now. I was waiting for it to drop in price but it just disappeared form shelves in my area, I may have to find a copy on Ebay.

call of duty4 and vegas 2 for shooters. devil may cry 4 is a good on for a hack and slash kinda game

Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga, Lego Indiana Jones, your gonna love that ultimate alliance game, its fun if you are a superhero fan(cant wait for the new one).

Now for action/adventure, here are some rentals, Assassins Creed(fun, very repetitive), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(silly, but easy points and only 4-6 hours to beat it), Bioshock(A MUST!!!), The Club(try a demo).

2d fighters, check out the xbox live arcade games, im sure there are plenty of old school 2d fighter games, Mortal Kombat, Streets of Rage, Street FIghter, etc

Nice collection of games so far, happy to see you've played Mass Effect! =)

I always recommend Untamed: MX vs ATV to everybody because i personally enjoyed it so much, though it seems like nobody else did. Especially if you can find it for cheap. Same with PGR4, Burnout Paradise, and Grid. Obviously, all of them are racing games, which is sort of my thing.

Ace Combat 6 (cheesy cutscenes and dialogue, but the game is fun)
Rainbow Six Vegas (1 and/or 2). You can probably get the first one for a cheap.
Viva Pinata (20 dollars or less in most places)

Sweet... got some things to check out... Played CoD4 on the PC so its low on my list, how is the multiplayer on for it on live?

Since I just got my elite today, plus I picked up DeadRising... I've been having too much fun killing zombies. Such a great game!

multiplayer for cod 4 on xbox live is amazing. i'm always on it playin. its really the heart of the game too me. but i still think the campaign was incredible

It's crack. You'll play it for three hours and then sit there and try to figure out where three hours went. There are a gazillion players on the regular maps so save your ten bucks and wait until the map pack is free.

Burnout Paradise

Takes some getting used to, but i've sunk 100 hours into that game. I don't even like racing games.

As a serious 2d figther tournament player, I am really excited about SF2 HD Remix. I played the beta and it's the first fighter I've played online that was honestly playable. Assuming SF4 gets the same or improved netcode treatment, there will be a ton of good fights on Live.

Battle fantasia is a pretty good fighter (its one of those 2.5D deals, 3D models and environments but the combat takes place on a 2D plane). Its a japanese game and Im not sure how imports work on the 360, I think it might be coming to the states later this year though.

I thought Conan was a decent, its a god of war clone.

Gun-Dirt cheap and fun

Test Drive Unlimited-Nothing like cruising the entire island of Oahu and competing in races when YOU want to

Splinter Cell Double Agent-Cheap now and probably the best Splinter Cell to date

Moto GP 07- Great simulation of motorcycle racing and a good online community.

You need COD4, one of the best games for the 360 online.

More fun than on PC IMO, XBL is a lot more addictive for some reason with it.

Wow, you have almost the exact games I have. I'll echo that CoD4 it is great fun. Ace Combat is pretty cool. If you like jrpgs, I enjoyed Eternal Sonata

when I was younger I loved jrpgs... but now that I'm in my 20's have a job and go to school. They tend to be so SLOW, and the dialog is either poorly translated or just cheesy as all heck. Nobody ever puts dialog in that sounds like how people actually talk. Most of the time the dialog is flat and broken. (though I'll probably still try the demo (haven't actually played any jrpgs on the 360, only the PS2/PSP)

I'm gonna rent CoD4 and try out the multiplayer... might have to pick that one up if it's as good as you guys say it is. :)

Oh, and I played the demo for Viva Pinata... is it seriously mostly about gardening and pinata sex?
