I'm in the market of buying a new monitor which would primarly be used as a playstation 3 gaming screen. Money is not an issue for me but I would rather buy a HDTV than spend thousands for a monitor, so if you can help me decide please dont link me monitos over 1 grand.

I am looking for a 26-28" screen. I can go larger but I do NOT want to go smaller. I tried the Samsung T260HD monitor and it was TERRIBLE. It washed out the colors and everything was flat. This weekend I may try out the Hannspree 28" monitor. I don't know if it will be that great though. Any other suggestions?

What im looking for

26-28" screen
Good colors
Gameing monitor so hopefully "no" input lag, or little.
Money is not an issue

Also just curious. If I were to purchase a 32" HDTV and use it as a pc/gameing screen would the image as a PC screen look as nice as it would on a monitor. Some people tell me it wont look at good so thats a turnoff for me

Have you looked at the Panasonic 32'' LZ800? Its 1080p and I've heard good things from it (from PS3 gaming standpoint) on the AVS forums. What are your primary PC uses? Will you be gaming in PC? I too was going to look at the 28'' Hannspree but I decided it was too big for my viewing distance so I got the Samsung T240HD. I love it so far! I'd say its got a very comparable and even better at resolving small details than my previous 32'' 1080p Bravia which was way too huge for me! Yeah I heard sketchy things about the T260HD, don't know why its that washed out and bad though; the 24'' one is great.

I wont be doing much to any pc gameing. I do ps3 gameing 99% of the time and for computer uses i just use my pc for internet, HW, etc.. nothing big. I looked at that panasonic 32" and the resolution is not that great for its price.

Most recent screens that are 1080p will work well as a monitor, just bigger. That Panasonic One2The3 mentioned is very nice and at 32" is a great size for viewing at about 3' to 4' away as a monitor (so make sure you have a nice deep desk).

Keep in mind though, as most ps3 games are 720p, a large screen up close can make things look a bit aliased as the dot pitch is bigger. But even then you can sit back and just enjoy a more immersive gaming experience, and MGS and GT5 prologue are breathtaking at 1080p on a large screen.
