With a monitor like the Dell Dell 22 Inch Widescreen Monitor - S2209W, it says that it offers full HD 1920 x 1080. Does that mean thats the native rez, and anything else will look blurry? Say you wanted to use this monitor with 1680x1050 instead...

Also, anyone heard anything on these new monitors?

Yes, it will either look blurry or it will be centered and have black stripes around. In case th emonitor can do 1:1 mode. Of which I'm unsure.

If the video card is set to do "centred timings" the display will show the image in 1:1 pixel mode with black bars. So for example 1680x1050 is centred with 2" black bars left and right, and half inch (1 cm) bars top and bottom.
