Monitor decision by Tuesday from Microcenter...

The Asus ROG 'PG27UCDM'. I really wanted DP2.1 capability. And I have the right cable now. I'll use either the Silkland Vesa certified 80 GBps, or the 'CableMatters' with same specs. Also bought a Nippon Cat 8 RJ45 2 foot cable. The router is side by side to the Tiki case (amazingly small).

I thought about the PG32UCDM. A bit too big for my desktop and only has DP1.4. This rig is going to be my final computer, and I went a bit crazy. I'm looking forward to gaming once it's set up, prob by next weekend.

Hope Battlefield 6 hits this Summer, but I'm hearing it's coming in the Fall.

Hm, I assumed it wouldn't show until 2026 sometime.

I hope it's sooner, as COD's latest is due this Summer or Fall (?). I'm only getting one, and I really prefer BF's maps and vehicles.

Think the most fun I ever had in a PC game was BF4, whenever that was (maybe 6-8 yrs ago at least?). I chose 'Engineer' class & in my kit had shoulder fired air-to-air. The pilot was great (we always played on the same server), and as soon as we took off he would land to pick up a box of ammo/rockets and threw them onboard. That gave me unlimited ammo for shooting down other team's heli's. In a later 'upgrade' to the game they got rid of being able to get more ammo... I was depressed...

Just heard about Nvidia's newest variation/update to G Sync. They partnered with MediTek (monitor scalers) & developed 'G Sync Pulsar'. Soon, they implied, there will be no dedicated G Sync modules, and there will be very little blurred visuals and less stuttering with monitors that have the new version of G Sync.

The problem is, there are no new monitors later this year that will have BOTH G Sync Pulsar capability AND the new, much better Display Port 2.1 or 2.1a, rather than the current DP 1.4. DP2.1 gives @ 77GBps to your display device from your video card (if your's has the horsepower). For me, I think Display Port 2.1 is more important. Other folks will want the new version of G Sync instead.

So, I might delay getting another monitor until the Fall/Winter. Not as sure I want the Asus '27PGUCDM' as I was a few days ago...dang it. It's always something...
