Monitor choices.... Limited

I got a monitor at BestBuy awhile back. It crapped out. Sent it in with my warranty and they want to replace it with something "comparable" in store. Here's what I got:

All I do is game game game. I want the very best monitor for gaming. Which monitor should I get? Or should I insist they fix my monitor? I don't care that the lcd tv is worth more.

if the sony TV can do 1:1 pixel mapping over your preferred input and you have the space to sit back a bit from the monitor, for gaming it seems like a better "bang for the buck"
