Modular Power Supplies?

I am looking for a modular power supply to replace my current one, I get annoyed looking at all the hookups and the mess it creates, so I am looking for a power supply around 600-700 watts and I would prefer it to be 80%+ in efficiency. Have you guys any suggestions? I would like to keep the purchase under say 110?

Just to be the first one to recommend this: Corsair 520HX 520W from zipzoomfly.com for $109. Is well reviewed, 80Plus certified, modular and is more than enough power for your Main Desktop.

Yes it isn't 600W-700W but I think you would be hard-pressed to find a known good quality modular 600W-700W 80Plus efficient PSU for around $110.

With that said, this CWT built Xigmatek 650W PSU with 52A on the +12V rail looks very interesting:

Fits everyone of your requirements and costs only $100. However I haven't seen any real review of that Xigmatek PSU. So it fits your requirements but it is unknown whether or not it can provide 650W of clean power. See what you can find out about it.

from what i find annadtech has a review of it. It looks ok but I was looking for other alternatives. I doubt a 500watt psu will handle my computer as I have 4 hdds, a 4850 comming, I oc my CPU, and I have like 7 fans in my system with a few other things.

There's being careful, and there's overkill. Run the numbers and find out just how much power you're actually drawing. I'd be very surprised if it's more than 400W under load even with that 4850. 500W might be cutting it close, but 700W really seems like overkill. 550-600 should be more than enough.

A good 500w PSU will handle that just fine....

If you aren't overclocking a high clocked Phenom 9800/9900 or a Pentium D or running SLI/Crossfire, you will be fine with a 500W power supply.

Corsair has two modular units. The HX520 and the HX620. If you really think you need 600W, the HX units are excellent.

I'm using the HX520 myself. Best PSU I've ever had so far.

I ran my computer with this calculator and i hit 480. I want to add a second one though so I am afraid I will hit over 520 watts.

Yea, if you are hitting 480 already, you are coming close to the roof of your power supply. Go for the 620.

Okay, guys, I love corsair too, so please don't throw things at me, but...

I'd like to suggest Mushkin's 650 watt modular PSU... I have a Mushkin PSU and have nothing but good things to say about it... and this one is only $105 AR.

EDIT: I just found the efficiency at full load... ACK!:(
Efficiency: >70%~73% at full load, according to silentpcreview :(

i think that psu calculator is bunk but no idea.. it says i should have a 720watt psu.. but i have overclocked cpu 10 usb devices 8 sata drives etc.. my psu is only a 600watt m12 seasonic hahah gonna buya kill a watt meter and find out what its using..

and have a few of the new hx620's waiting to be used and a few in use They kick ass and i think they are same as the m12 seasonic's i use as well.. ..

buy.com its like 125$ after rebate which is still very good just ugly red sticker hehe

used to be 10$ off with google check out but think that ended..

Go with the Corsair 620HX Modular and call it a day. Don't need that much power, but it is also a very bad idea to come close to max.

I have no idea what the heck you put in to hit 480w on that with any of the systems in your sig...

Lots of hard drives, got 6+ fans, not including cpu fan, two sound cards, oced cpu and my gpu, plenty of other stuff.
