Hey guys, my mobo died in my q6600 rig (in sig)

What would be the best board to replace it with?
I've got about $250 to spend on it but woud prefer to be around $200.

I'd also like to go with asus or gigabyte.

Thx

I'd just like to sup[port the components i have, as well as keeping my current overclock (i know my chip will do 3.4 but i liked the temps better at 3.0) need sata/ddr2 800 but most should have that.

SLI/crossfire is not required.
I would like PCIE 2 support though.

Essentially, im looking for a stable and reliable board.

The Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L will suffice your needs for a bit less money.

$90 - Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX

Don't forget to RMA the Abit board, since its still under warranty. If you don't want to use the replacement, sell it. ;)

What about the GA-EP45-DS3L

8USB ports is a big plus as well

The store is local so i can pick it up now, (i'm in a hurry to get my rig up and running again)

If the extra USB is more important then the extra PCIe x16 slot on the P5Q Pro then I would say go for that Gigabyte one. Although I am inclined to think that the P5Q Pro would be better as far as OC'ing is concerned since it has a nice 8 phase power and good cooling on NB and PWM

Ahh... you're in Canada! The P45-DS3L is typically overpriced for what you get, but if you want instant gratification, go for it.

Canada Computers has neither the P43-DS3L nor the P5Q Pro. Are you near an NCIX? :p

I have the EP45-DS3R and have been really happy with it. It is a good board to look into.
