Hello all..here's the deal so far...I got the A8N32-SLI Deluxe ...had issues initially getting XP to post...had to RMA it and received another one. Got past XP install on an IDE HD..SATA keeps bombing on the install...still dont' know why...!?..Finally went in ok...I updated XP with the patches...all the video drivers...audio drivers..etc. = Up to date machine.

Launched a random game...FEAR...saw all the video scenes...when it was time to kick into the game..the machine reboots. Tried another game...Tomb Raider...saw some of the beginng....same thing ..reboots. Now it wont' even go into windows...any thoughts? or should I go with another MOBO Brand? Been screwing around with this for about 2 weeks now..

system specs are as follows..

PSU 700Watt Fortron
2 7900GTX's
2GB Kingston HyperX Ram (timings are set in BIOS)
X-Fi Fatal1ty Sound Card
AMD 4800+ (no overclock)

sorry i cant be more help but after being on this forum for a while it seems like a lot of these dont work. stop dicking around, get a refund and buy a dfi.
 
pull a GTX and pull the sound card and use only 1 stick of ram in slot 1. does it boot up then?

I think it's the X-Fi personally. I know they've had compatibility problems with some boards. See if only pulling that fixes your problem.

And yeah, go with DFI, very rock solid boards.
 
Ok folks...here's the deal so far...after removing both cards...sound card...reseting the BIOS...I reseated all things back. I can boot XP now...I can even launch some games to a degree..FEAR locks up...Tomb Raider hickups...Battlefront II locks...random crap.
<sigh>...I'm gettin there....

Looks like a 7900 Gtx Problem.

The 32 isn't for beginners, go with DFI
 
Update:

After reseting everything and it's mom (video..audio..bios)...the mobo/pc is stable! I can play games without a hitch on one vid card for now. Seems I have a bad GTX :(
Called BFG and they will RMA it.
WHEW! long time comin..! Next is running XP off SATA2 drive. Right now it's on IDE. I'll post more updates if anyone is interested...thanks for your advice and help. :D

I've been having some issues with a DFI NF4 board with both SATA and IDE hard drives attached. When it was my board, it ran fine with 2 SATA drives and 2 IDE CD-ROMs on 1 channel. Now I sold it to my brother and he has some random issues with 1 SATA drive, 1 IDE HDD and 2 CD-ROMS on the IDE channels.
