Mobo doesn't detect video card

So I've had this intermittent issue where when I'm booting up my computer, my mobo beeps at me (when it normally does the POST beep), and the manual says the specific beeping pattern it's doing means it doesn't detect my video card. I've swapped out my video card, and the problem still persists. Here are my system specs:

Vista x64
Asus P5E Deluxe mobo
HIS ATI HD5770 (previous card was a Sapphire 4850)
Thermaltake 650W PSU
Intel E8400
etc... (let me know if you need more)

Also, I do have a sound card in another PCI-e slot (Auzentech X-Fi Forte), if that could be causing a conflict.

So, any idea what's going on here??? Thanks!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I think the sound card is in one of the smaller PCI-e slots.
