im gonna upgrade my computer finally and have about 300 to spend on these 3 things. im gonna keep my hdd, psu and video card and upgrade them later in a month or 2. I figured my 500 watt psu should be plenty since its a quality unit and im not upgrading my gpu yet (i'd like a second opinion on this). what would yall recommend? im leaning towards a core i5 and 8gb of ram but am really clueless as far as mobo chipsets go.

mostly games at 1080p no eyefininity or multi card mobos required. only feature i need is usb 3.0 for ssd later, oc no not really, and the rest of the stuff is in my sig. gonna reuse the 4800 for now and the asus sound card im going to keep, only other stuff is a 180 gig maxtor drive and a dvd burner also yes i have a case atx
