I am updating my wife's computer, and need an inexpensive Mobo and Vid card.
I am canibalizing her Acer Aspire X1700-U3700A
If you're gonna ask us to build/list a PC for you or seek advice about a build, please answer all of the following questions:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Web browsing, MS office, and some WOWing
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$250 for both shipped to 96818
3) Where do you live?
Zip 96818 HI
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
Mobo and Video Card with HDMI output
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
I am using the CPU E2200 Socket 775( to be replaced when fundage allows), HD, Ram (DDR2 SDRAM 240 PIN), and DVD Rom drive from the acer. I also have a Antec three hunred case and Antec EarthWatts 500 Watt 20+4pin 80 PLUS Certified ATX Power Supply

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
In about a week
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.Nothing specific
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
The HD has Vista home premium 64bit installed.

I am looking at

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128428 for $90
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125311 For $110

Which adds up to $231 with FedEX 2day

Comments? Questions? Flames?

Which 500W PSU?

Also that mobo won't work with DDR2 RAM. It needs DDR3 RAM. Also, that video card is crap for gaming.

We can start recommending video cards when we know what 500W PSU you have.

Sorry left it out.

Antec EarthWatts 500 Watt 20+4pin 80 PLUS Certified ATX Power Supply

That is the PSU that I have.

Thanks for looking

Then I recommend this setup:
$124 - AMD Athlon II X2 240 CPU + Biostar TA790XE AM2+/AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard
$90 - BFG Tech BFGE98512GTGE GeForce 9800 GT 512MB PCI-E Video Card
---
Total: $250 shipped to HI 96818.

The X2 240 is significantly faster than the E2200, even it was OC'd to 3Ghz. The 9800GT outperforms the GT 240. In addition, socket AM2+ has a slightly better CPU upgrade path than the Intel 775 setup.
