I let CCC detect and oc my x1900xt 256 to 689/720 from 620/720. Now it crashes while running 3dmark06. It will freeze then the PC will crash and stay crashed no reboot. Could this be because My antec 480 TrupowerII doesn't have enough Amps ? it is rated 18A per 12V, idk if they can be combined. And ATiTool shows even stock 620/720 sucks up 19.2A, even though it doesn't crash then. Do these cards really eat up 230w?

I wouldn't think it was the power supply. I run an Antec TP2.0 430 in my pc. Thats with x1800xt overclocked (690/800 in CCC), opty 165 @ 2.5Ghz, two hard drives, one DVD/RW, and Audigy 2. I'd keep looking.

Card does get toasty like 80C. I'm gonna try to reseat it with some AC5 2morrow. And I'm looking into getting some nice cooling for it, probably the vf900 and hopefully it will keep it under 60ish.

Perhaps the card isn't getting enough juice? You could try increasing the core voltage to 1.45v - 1.5v Of course, if you're hitting 80C regularly, this probably wont help you. :D

Yea the core needs more volts, mines not stable over 675 without a increase on the core voltage
