How many points are timeless WU usually worth? Are they always tinkers? I'm running timeless at work and they have all been worth 239 points. Anyone else running timeless that can tell me if this is normal? I just thought they would be worth less points. At this rate I'm dumping about 1000 total points every two days from 7 machines running at 50% CPU. Not a bad complement to my home production.

The vast majority of tinkers are between 239 and 249 points. There are some less and some more, but I haven't seen either one in a very long time.

Tinkers get a nice bonus on AMDs since the benchmark machine Stanford uses is an Intel.P4 and they suck unless you are using SSE optimizations of some sort. I've also seen better PPD with Tinkers on P3's compared to regular gromacs.

I have at least a couple of machines running timeless tinkers only. I also have a P4 running one instance of regular WU's and one with timeless tinkers at a lower priority and CPU usage amount. I have one or two other machines running a second instance of timeless tinkers in case I lose my internet connection and can't get more work. Having that second instance sitting and waiting to be used (timeless client on idle priority and regular client on low priority so the timeless client doesn't do much unless the other client isn't crunching) comes in handy to avoid idle time. One machine setup like this in the past 42 hours has 27 seconds of idle time which would have happened at startup before the folding clients kicked in.

 
All my work machines are P4's so I'm not getting any AMD bonus :(
 
yeah...the low points hit hard last week...but once you finish them you should be getting so nicer ones :) that is what happened to me too but now im getting some more healthier WU's

I'm getting a big mix of WU's lately. This 2800+ I'm on just finished a 39 pointer a hour ago, now it's doing a 404 pointer. Two lowly P3 500's at work, one is still crunching a 404 pointer, going on 3 weeks, the other identical one has been doing about 1 40ish pointer a day. Luck of the draw I guess.
 
My main rig grabbed a 404 gromacs, and a tinker, and all I have to say is holy crap batman, thats alota PPD on my opty with the tinker!

My feet did somehow. I sure as hell don't exactly remember it. I sorta remember the half hour drive to the chick's house and taking off clothes later. But I don't really think this is the thread for this type of discussion.
