Microwave Blowing Stuff Up

Yeah....it's a good one alright...but fast food being any better is somehow beyond me. :D

I always get worried putting metal trays with foil in the microwave... then I remember this is after the year 2000 and microwaves have a grill/convection function :p

I loved it!! We have a microwave at home, only for heating water and quick heats of already cooked food. Microwaves excite water within foods, that kinetic energy causing the rest to cook, and mostly not in a good way. Too many nutrients destroyed. For cooking food, there's grills and convection ovens. For blowing food up, there's microwaves. :)

"We do it, so you don't have to" comes to mind. Great video.

Tin foil hats anyone?
Microwaves do not destroy nutrients any more than cooking on a grill, etc. There was one study that came out and concluded that microwaves removed nutrients from food. They determined this by cooking vegetables in a bath of water (who does that?!). Of course it will leech nutrients then.

Oh you do know that the caramelization from grills and ovens is carcinogenic right? :D

hum, all were pretty good except the aluminum foil, tropical punch and Compact disk which i don't believe is fair as the thing had aluminum in it as well.

You forgot:

Grilling adds carbon to food which gives you teh cancer! :D

Microwaves are non-ionizing radiation. The water absorbs a particular wave length of the energy and heats up, boiling the food from within.

OMG My nutrient been zappified!

Water molecules are bi polar, they oscillate back and forth and generate heat. Heat cooks your food. Not microwaves.

If by caramelization you mean tasty goodness I whole heartily agree :D

That said, I learned my microwave lessons from Zak MacKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, only put egg in microwave if you need to sneak past someone.

Who else was dancing in their office chair to that snazzy blue-grass music?

Poor beer ... it never hurt anyone ... A truly epic case of alcohol abuse :D

Moes is a bad chipotle knockoff. I went to one for the first time a couple weeks ago. The food tasted like it was microwaved and the seats in the place were all ripped up and grimey. I'll probably never eat there again.
