Microsoft's E3 Keynote

Raiden.. lol. Heh, Sony just has the FF franchise now.

Final Fantasy? You do know that the new Final Fantasy is coming to the 360 too, right?

Anyway, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Forza 3, Halo: ODST, Halo Reach, Splinter Cell, Modarn Warefare 2, awesome!

Music for free (for Gold Subscribers), 1080p video, updating your NetFlix queue from your console, facebook and twitter. Cool stuff (though I don't use twitter).

The camera or whatever... the racing game made no sense. How would you accelerate and break?

lol it's obvous that MS spent some huge bucks this year. I really hope Sony's big announcement wasn't just the Fallout 3 DLC lol

I wonder what he has coming. Probably not Bloom Blox for the 360, but something new?

The motion controller seems really meh so far but the game reveals were pretty nice I thought. Looking forward to playing some of these.

Wow I can't believe this thing is real.........looks pretty well done. Natal looks legit.

Please don't tell me you're one of the people that thought the megaton had to be Fallout 3 DLC because you know, megaton, fallout etc... :)

cool games, but wtf is that paint shit about lol shit!

That paint shit was pretty awesome I must say. I thought Natal was a gimmick but damn they really pulled it off.

Wow... Project Natal just keeps impressing me.

AI Dev is going to go up pretty high with games..

Milo was pretty cool but extremely depressing at the same time. It's like the movie A.I coming to life. Oh god.

Wow that Natal stuff was very nice. Opens up a whole new thing. That was a pretty good keynote. Impressive stuff. 1080p instant on, i like a lot. :)

well it cant replace gaming but it adds a whole new dimension, i dont think the wii motion plus looks too goo right now lmao!!! Ahhh hahahahahaaaa die nintendo! (joke!), so how much space on the hard drive is this thing gonna take up i wonder, i also cant see how this instant on 1080p no delay shit will work either, its not like we all have 50meg connections, avreage in uk is 2 meg.

Who knew that the camera accessory we were all talking trash about would turn out to be so awesome?

I'm really waiting to see what Nintendo and Sony are going to be pulling out.

Really great show by MS. Surprised at how much actual game play without let up was actually shown. This is how a game conference should be done.

At first I thought this would just be a big gimmick against nintendo (Natal), but I was really impressed with the demo. I did notice some glitches with the avatar, but as far as the games go, they were spot on. I am actually really excited about this :). The Milo thing seems fishy to me though. I'm not a fan of Lion's Head director, who is known to make big promises that never fully deliver. It just freaks me out...

Facial recognition, full body motion sensing, speech recognition, emotion awareness = GG on Nintendo.

Seriously. I'm glad Microsoft went first.. they really raised the bar and set the expectations high.

Now that they have the hardware, its up to the game devs to fully utilize Natal (i hope in a non-gimmicky way, though I doubt it..) AND Microsoft's XBOX Marketing team to really drive a home run.

bah i was hoping for an exclusive:
Street Fighter 4 Natal edition, i was about to go practice my shoryukens and fireball motions lol! Now has anyone seen that xbox mock up fighting game on the movie: "The Island" thats shit is just about real!!

The Milo thing was cool but I'm not sure if playing a game and not holding something like a controller in my hand would be fun to me. The NXE interface with motion would be cool but past that I'm on the fence.

The pseye games for instance I hate but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I was expecting some mega exclusive announcement, game wise.

I gotta' say that, in my opinion, this year's keynote was even better then last years. Last year they basically had NXE, NetFlix and Final Fantasy, and a lot of talk about the casual gaming market. This year they did a lot less talking and just showed the games. A new Metal Gear Solid game, an update to NetFlix, a new video marketplace with 1080p video, free music for Gold members, Project Natal, Alan Wake, Facebook, Twitter, Crackdown 2, Halo: Reach, and a couple other things nobody saw coming. Kudos Microsoft.

Yeah Natal really impressed me. I thought it would be all gimmick but it works unless all performance on stage was a hoax. I would love to use that thing in a boxing game as it looks like you can get a good workout from it. I still don't grasp how you will cover areas in game though unless its on rails or you just pretend walk for miles. It will be interesting to see if any shooters take advantage of it.

i did a quick search on odst, so it's just going to be another halo shooter? but one w/ a gears 2 horde clone?

It has Halo in the title so I would imagine it would play something like Halo.

It takes place in the Halo universe, yes. But you're not playing as Master Chief anymore, which is the main thing. From the looks of it you're playing as multiple ODSTs (orbital drop shock troopers).

you mean like halo wars has halo in the name and it plays something like halo?

stop being facetious, it's obvious bungie is trying new genres with its RTS, though maybe they were going for third person or something

i thought the keynote was very good, but there wasnt enough exclusives for hardcore gamers

I think exclusives are, more and more, a thing of the past. Development costs for these games are just too high to intentionally cut off potential sales by fracturing the market.

I thought the lineup of exclusives was quite good. Some may prove to be timed exclusives, or just console exclusives (like L4D2 since its coming to PC, and I believe Alan Wake too), but there was some good exclusive stuff for the hardcore:

Alan Wake
Crackdown 2
Forza Motorsport 3
Halo: ODST
Halo Reach
Left 4 Dead 2
Shadow Complex
Splinter Cell: Conviction
