Long time HardOCPer, The_Heretic, let us know that after Microsoft gimped a few of his workplace AMD machines back in mid-March, Microsoft has finally come through with a fix only 3 months later.

Late yesterday, Microsoft issued security fix KB4022722 that addresses this problem for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.

Addressed issue where an unsupported hardware notification is shown and Windows Updates not scanning, for systems using the AMD Carrizo DDR4 processor. For the affected systems, follow the steps in the Additional Information section to install this update.

If you are not able to get automatic updates, you can grab the files here.

Sort of ironic, it's been about 3 months since they broke 4k HDR and various other features for Pascal.

this has been popping up on a i5-2400 system i just reloaded (the Annoying Box pops up to say unsupported system but windows update still works)
