True enough. Uncharted's combat is pretty close to being "total shit" though. Of all the third-person shooting games I've played, UC's shooting mechanics feel the worst by far. Granted the game is not primarily a TPS, but if it is to have specific mechanics in a game, they should be decent at least.

Care to explain "total shit" mechanics to me? Combat in uncharted is some of the best in from a 3rd person shooter i have ever played. The movement is extremely free and you can climb in the environments and fire while hanging from ledges to avoid fire or reach diffrent vantage points instead of just being stuck on the ground and go where ever the level does. Enemies can lose sight of you and can flank them and attack them from behind that is extremely rare in games for some reason and makes firefights much more dynamic and interesting.

Shitty aiming, weak gunplay, enemies taking far too many bullets to kill, rubbish cover mechanic.

Shitty aiming.
How exactly? Aiming is fine, i find it very easy to pull of head shots or say rushing with the shotgun while sprinting and not aiming works great too.

weak gunplay.
Not every game revolves around your gun. If gunplay is all you need for a game to be good then no wonder call of duty is so popular.

Enemies taking far too many bullets to kill.
I don't get this complaint at all and they take a lot less bullets to kill then a game like gears of war and most enemies can be killed in one shot to the head. God forbid you have to aim to take someone down quickly. The armored guys you can pop off their helmet in a few shots then one shot them in the head. Only guys that take a lot of rounds only if you cant find a sniper rifle are the guys carrying the miniguns.

Rubbish cover mechanic.
How exactly is it rubbish? It's rubbish if you try to use it as a permanent spot to sit and camp and peekaboo enemies. If you use it right it allows you to sneak past enemies, blind fire and and dive between cover seamlessly just like any other standard 3rdps except its even more valuable because they only remember where they last saw you.

It is a fact that the aiming is shitty, because ND had to rush out a patch to "fix" it in UC3.

Not every game revolves around your gun? That is no excuse for having a shitty game mechanic. If gunplay is not important to the gameplay then it shouldn't be in there... especially when it is not satisfying and feels like a goddamn chore as is the case with UC.

In Gears of War, you fight mutant monster alien fucking things things from the centre of the earth. Fighting other human beings in minimal/no armour is not comparable by any stretch of the imagination. It only gets worse when you throw in armoured enemies.

The cover mechanic sucks because getting in and out of it is not smooth or reliable.

Keep defending your overbloated, grossly overrated game, though.

Sounds like you only played the first Uncharted, in which I would agree. Uncharted 2 greatly improves upon the game. Haven't played Gears 1-3 and all the Uncharted games, I'll take Uncharted any day.
