If you thought those dancing Japanese robots were something, get a load of these ultra tiny dancing robots created by scientist at Duke University:

Each microrobot is shaped something like a spatula but with dimensions measuring just microns, or millionths of a meter. They are almost 100 times smaller than any previous robotic designs of their kind and weigh even less, Donald added.

Apparently they are asking for $5 million dollars in additional funding to include appendages so they can breakdance

I wonder why they have the Houses of Parliament from the U.K.. at the start of the video

Their comparison of the robots to the size of a human hair reminds me of the time I got crabs...

Wow this is Wonderful!!! To see an actual anglosaxon american, by that I mean someone who's family has been by generations in the U.S. talking about something like this is quite rejoyful. Mostly when you hear first hand that now most U.S. university researchers and professors come from abroad. And no I'm not American as the meaning of the word you use in the U.S. as America, the country. But this makes me glad.

Steve, it doesn't take you to the HardOCP page. Is this new? Granted, it saves me one click...but...

In another sequence, the devices pivot in a precise fashion whenever their boom-like steering arms are drawn down to the surface by an electric charge. This response resembles the way dirt bikers turn by extending a boot heel.

Extremely scientific statement right there. Watch out for big words!

Hey, science is for everyone. This is why take the time to explain Evolution to my sister's family every Sunday after they get back from church. I think they really appreciate it when I dumb it down for them. :D

Erm, I might be being dumb, but isn't your sister's family yours too ?
