Hey everybody, I don't post on here much at all, but I figured this was worth a shot.

I am currently in the process of spec-ing out a fragbox sized computer for my girlfriend. I know all the parts that I will put in it, except for a power supply and case. I have been trying to track down a decent power supply that is not made for a Dell or HP computer (that is all that I have been able to find).

Info:
I am going to put in 2 hard drives, a 512mb 8800GT, and a core 2 duo q9300 yorkfield processor.

Cases I have looked at:
Thermaltake VF1000BWS

Lian-Li PC-V300

The Lian-Li case can fit a standard ATX power supply in it, but not a video card as long as the 8800GT I want to put in it. The Thermaltake, however, can fit the video card, but I need to track down a microATX power supply for it.

As I said before, I have looked for some power supplies at Newegg, but I didn't find anything that seems to be worth the time or powerful enough. Does anybody have any ideas or experience that can help me track down a pretty powerful microATX power supply and a case?

Any advice would help here, I have looked all over the net with mixed results. I get so many conflicting claims that I am now looking here for some clear answers. Thanks!

Why not go for the Ultra Microfly? It can fit a regular sized PSU and the 8800GT:

Also, the Lanbox can fit both a regular sized PSU and the 8800GT as well:

Just get a modular PSU to cut down on cable clutter.

And unfortunately there aren't that many decent mATX PSUs out there. If I was forced to buy one and from looking at Newegg's selection of mATX PSUs, I'd get one from FSP which have a slightly higher chance of better quality. Still wouldn't trust one in a gaming PC though.

Thanks a ton. I looked at those cases, and they both seem to do the job pretty well. I might look at some more mid-tower sizes just for comparison, because if I am going to build this it might as well be upgrade-friendly later on.
