What keyboard and mice does everyone use?
I use the G5 Mouse and G15 Keyboard that seems to be pretty popular . . .

On my two main rigs I use 2x G9's (just swapped my Ikari out for another G9) and some combination of these keyboards:

Topre Realforce 101
HHKB Pro 2
Scorpius M10
Filco FKBN87MC/EB
Filco FKB104M/EB
Compaq MX11800
ABS M1
Dell AT101W "clicky" black Alps (modded)
IBM Model M 1391401
Unicomp Model M4
Focus FK-2001
Sejin EAT-1010

Currently using a the Realforce 101 and the Filco FKBN87MC/EB. The Realforce is always connected, but the other board gets rotated every couple of days.

I just picked up a Logitech G9 and have been a using a Ideazon Merc Stealth for awhile. I like the dedicated gaming keys, especially since I have bigger hands. The KB also has software which auto loads key bind profiles when you launch a games .exe file. Red, blue and purple back lit keys are nice too.

The G9 is to new for me to give a good judgement. I did have a record round of soldier in TF2 the first time I used it.

same, g15 and g5, i have a strange feeling theres over 10k of these threads already

IBM Model M (made in 1984 ) and an MX510. I've also heard good things about the happy hacking keyboard and das keyboard, but I wanted the real deal.

Used the G15 but the keyboard lights got too dim and swapped over to a Saitek Cyborg. Mouse is a Logitech M500.

Apple Wireless Bluetooth keyboard. MX Revolution, G7 and VX Revolution. My roommate has a Model M that he will trade me for my Dell wireless keyboard. That should be fun :p

Eclipse II and G7, really wish someone would make a new wireless mouse with hot swappable batteries.

Yeah I really liked my G7. Wish they had made a 2 thumb button version like they did with the G5 v2.

Now I like ergonomic keyboards, and have a Microsoft 4000 keyboard and now a Microsoft X8 mouse. It can go wireless also, but mine stays tethered most of the time. I like the vertical forward and back buttons under the thumb a lot.

G9 and G15 were my favorite for my WOW days, but those days are long over and they are still really great keyboard and mice. The G9 is nice since it can have a custom weight. Works out great if you are upgrading from a wireless mouse that is heavy due to the batteries and prefer that weight because you are used to it. No problem here!

I have the G9x (The new one with 5000 dpi laser), Logitech G13, and normal Logitech Internet Pro Keyboard. I'm waiting for the G19 to be available in my country :D

FKBN87MC/EB.

Don't think i'm ever going back to membrane keyboards as long as I can manage.

I'm using a Deck 82 keyboard with a Logitech G9 mouse.

It's my favorite combo so far. The short length of the keyboard means it fits nicely beside my SteelSeries mouse glass mouse pad on my keyboard tray and also keeps my left and right hands a bit closer together, which is nice. Plus both devices are just awesome all the way around. The keyboard feels fantastic to type on (no plans to buy a membrane keyboard again). The G9 is comfortable once I got used to it and I wouldn't buy another mouse without micro gear because it simply blows away all that "auto scroll" crap of past mice (some tried extra buttons, middle mouse button to click and then drag down etc.).

I use a Das Keyboard with a Logitech TrackMan wireless track ball at work and this is also a nice combo for productivity work (see, not gaming).

I use an IBM Model M at work and a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard + original MX500 at home.

The logitech illuminated looks really nice, but the keys feel very fragile. I'm hoping it lasts.

I'm using a logitech MX 3200. Overall it's a good mouse and keyboard set with decent battery life. My only real complaint is that all the keys are printed in a gray color on the keyboard, which is a problem when I actually have to look at the keyboard for a special character.

I also seem to remember picking it up for pittance, but I believe it might of been circuit city just trying to get rid of it.

X6 Sidewinder for keyboard and X8 Sidewinder mouse... too bad that keyboard ain't wireless. But I like it, especially the detachable numpad. And mouse pretty good too.

Deathadder + DiNovo Edge on gaming rig, Kensington Slimtype + random optical mice on others

Just ordered a Lycosa :D

I prefer scissor-switch keyboards, they have the right amount of tactile feel without all the racket of full mechanical switches. Plus my fingers are lazy and like low height keys :)

have a microsoft wireless keyboard at home with the mx518...

here at work I bought a g15 keyboard and mx518 mouse ...

I started trying to keep the same mouse at home and at work so I dont' have to get used to two mice when I'm fooling around...

I would like to upgrade at home, but I like the ergonomic (split keyboard) a little more than just the regular ones. I was hoping logitech would put out an ergonomic gaming keyboard one day.

Wolf King Timber Wolf keyboard
Razer Mamba
Logitech G9
Do you have both mice on the desk at the same time?

This "ergonomic" keyboard is not really appealing to me too much. Frankly not worth the hastle of having to adjust to its layout - especially as the vast majority of keyboards in this world seem to have the "normal" layout. My spelling is all messed up now - AND I can not type as fast/well on a normal keyboard too. DAMIT! :p

why does EVERYONE have their mousepad the opposite way, like vertically

lol

Did not know it was a big trait. I don't remember exactly why I put mine like this.

ACtually having just put it into the "horizontal" position it seems like it taeks up too much space in width. So that might be it.

This.

I'm currently using a Lycosa and a G5 rev2. Every now and then, though, I switch back to my trusty old MS Comfort Curve 2000.

Do you not find it to mess up you typing, or do you get used to it quickly?

Switching from one to the other, it takes a few minutes to adjust. I'm actually more comfortable with the MS keyboard, but I like being able to see which keys I'm pressing with the lights out. I'm not quite good enough to be a touch-typist yet. That, and I use the USB port on the Lycosa for my gamepad.

Oh, damn. I have not been able to get properly used to the MS keyboard for a few months now!

Basically i'm in this boat as well. Using the wired microsoft ergonomic 4000. i would love to get the wireless version of this keyboard, but the mouse that comes in the set is HORRIBLE! i have now upgraded to the sidewinder X8 after finding at fry's for $50 last week. I used the Logitech G5 for the past forever, and loved that mouse. I still have both versions in a drawer somewhere...oh, and i talked my supervisor into letting me get the logitech cordless wave keyboard set at work, and that keyboard is rather comfortable as well.

Work: VX Nano mouse, apple aluminum keyboard w/ num-pad. AMAZING COMBO

Home: Piece of crap BTX keyboard, mx518. still shopping for the perfect keyboard. I will probably pick up a bluetooh apple keyboard without num pad
