MCP655 is "humming"

I have had the pump for a month or so, and up until now, its been near silent at the max setting. As it is, my system has been down for about 2 weeks as my mobo is in RMA. However, I left the WCing system hooked up and running. It was only used for a few days beforemy mobo crashed, and there may still be a few smalll air bubbles that can be worked out, and I figured it wouldnt hurt anything. And it would seem as though it didnt. It ran for about a week before I decided there was no longer a point on keeping it on. Then it say for a few days in the case, doing nothing. Today, I got my new radatior fans and new power supply. So, I get everything hooked up, and decided id let it run a bit on the new PSU so I could see how loud the PSU and new fans were. When I turned on my PSU, i hear a humming sound. Its not terrably loud, but loud enough to be heard over all the fans. I figured it was the PSU. So, I unplugged everything, and fired it up again, just the PSU. Nice as quiet. Hooked up my fan controller. New fans spin up, again, quiet. Hook up the pump, and back is the humming. For the life of me, I cant figure out wtf would have caused my pump to screw up with it sitting and doing nothing for three days. Anyone got any ideas as to what could have happened, or if its fixable? I am gunna try turning down the pump speed to see waht that does, buit I dont like the idea. With a BIP2, Storm, Maze4 GPU, and MPW30 to get though, my temps would probably suffer a bit if I turn the pump down.

Does swiftech warrenty these things if my pump is going? Anyone have any experiance with them, far as turnaround time and whatnot?

I have the same one, it will hum a lot if it is touching something solid. If you don't have it hard mounted, remove the black metal bracket and put some foam under/around it.

Its not touching metal, and im using the sticky pad, which is foamy. Same as I was before.

Hook up your old PSU and try it again, I think you'll find that the hum stops. The PSU is probably the culprit. Mine did it only it was a high pitched squeal that was very annoying but it could have easily been a hum. It would depend on the size of the transformer in question.

Anyways give that a try and let me know.

No dice... still makin noise.

Yeah. I just finished taking hte pump out and running it with a smalll loop, with a few spare parts I had. Its just hte pump, a res, and a gpu block. Still hummin away. When I adjust it down to around speed 3, that seems to take care of it. I can still hear a hum, but its very faint... nothing I would be able to hear over my fans. So, I may just do that. Think that speed will be enough to get through a BIP2, storm, maze4, and mcw30 without affecting temps?

Personally I'd contact Swiftech and see about a replacement, that's not normal.
