I'm looking to get a new laptop. I really like the look of the MBP and I know they perform well. Recently my pc has been starting to act up (i built it about 6 years ago with no upgrades since) and I'm really interested in running bootcamp. My only reason is because I like to game, like CS/DOD:S, bf2, AOE III, occasionally some WoW. (my friends always seem to quit when I get interested) I also do alot of web and graphic design.
So my question is, will the bottom line MBP be able to play those games just fine?
* 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
* 120GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
* SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
* MacBook Pro 15-inch Widescreen Display
* Backlit Keyboard/Mac OS - U.S. English
* Accessory Kit
BTW, if I do get a MBP, I will automatically buy 4 gigs from somewhere else at the same time. I'm amazed at how much overhead apple has on a RAM upgrade.
To give you a picture with what I game with now:
a7n8x deluxe
AMD XP 2500 @ 2.2
Radeon 9800 Pro
1024mb GEIL pc-3200
120 + 80 gig seagate 7200rpm
audigy 2 ZS
That system has been a workhorse, and I play all the games except bf2 at medium to high settings at 1680x1050 (widescreen westinghouse 22")
Another question glossy or non-glossy?
