I really enjoyed the first two games and I was looking forward to the next one but it's been so long that I forgot about it. I'm not all that interested anymore, especially with the back and forth regarding a PC release and a change in development studios. I don't mind Gameflying it for the PS3 if there is no PC release but in any case I won't be pre-ordering and I doubt it will be a day one purchase for me if there is a PC release.

fuck I forgot rockstar took over this. I'm still bummed that we didn't get RDR, and no LA Noire (not yet, at least).
Hopefully they're not going to "cancel" the PC release in a few months..
Hope not but frankly I have no reason to believe Rockstar is going to support the PC ever again.
I hope I get proven wrong.

I already owned a PS3 and was very glad I was able to get RDR on it because that's one of the best games I've played on any and all platforms over the last year or so.

The latest videos show a very different looking Max, he has hair and is in a bit better shape. I have a feeling the fat bald max is going to be some kind of "future" Max. Just a thought.

Highly in doubt. Again, no reason to believe this is really coming to the PC at all.
If this game ends up being a letdown, then it won't matter anyways.

Seems like they want to go a whole different route with this, I'm against ruining franchises for the sake of milking an already established brand, I'd rather they honour the name of Max and simply create a new IP and give us a new fresh game to enjoy.
Max Payne was a noire tragedy story at heart and one of the best games of its day, the sequel was a bit of a push but was pulled off really well and is really the perfect place to end it, I don't think the franchise can really benefit from a 3rd instalment and retain it's charm, no matter how well made.
I think a spiritual successor would be better, with a similar character and gameplay mechanics but with a different setting/story, that way if it's consolized at least they don't drag the Max Payne name through the mud.

I remember the first two Max Paynes being fairly intolerable on console.
And I'll reiterate - the game has a much better chance of being good in Rockstar North's hands than that useless Remedy. Alan Wake = complete clusterfuck.
Bald Max? Reminds me of bald Sam from Splinter Cell: Double agent. I thought the first 2 Max Payne's were really fun actually... I would have liked a few more different textured bad guys though.
It's becoming a bad cliche fast.
Never played the 2nd one and I just missed the sale from direct2drive. damn.
Man, it's dirt cheap. Just buy it ASAP!
