We'll see.Captain Marvel was never a very interesting (or financially successful) character in the comics and has been retcon'd multiple times. We will see I guess. $$ talks and I suppose if Capt. Marvel (movie) makes a pile of money she will be part of the MCU going forward.
if they bring Loki and Gamora back then it'll really be beyond dumb...Thanos killed them pre-snap so it'll truly be a shark jumping moment for me...what's the point of Infinity War if the entire movie will be invalidated with Endgame...people keep talking about the comics and how people come back from the dead all the time...this is not the comics...I want some real consequences and tragedy
I see these movies as a way to escape the humdrum of life. I don't pick them apart, I don't go into the movie expecting certain things and when it doesn't happen I hate on the movie. No, I go to the movie to be entertained.its entertainment and relaxing

Case in point, Captain Marvel. It wasn't the best Marvel movie but it certainly wasn't the worst. I was entertained, I got my $5's worth of entertainment and in the end that's all that matters. It allowed me to escape life for two hours. If I had to rank the Captain Marvel movie I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
if Endgame is just going to reverse all the deaths through time travel or something similar that's kinda cheap in my opinion...will totally lessen Infinity War as a movie and weaken the entire Marvel universe...Thanos was built up as the biggest, baddest villain over 10-12 movies so this requires some major Avenger heroes deaths to make it worth it...otherwise he's no better then any other lesser villain...plus how will audiences ever trust Marvel again if a major character dies in a future movie...they'll just assume that the death is a fakeout...2-3 major characters need to die and stay dead (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor etc) plus 2-3 minor ones (Hawkeye, Ant Man, Falcon etc)
It is very rare for any major character to stay dead in the Marvel universe. Heck even minor characters don't stay dead. They are always resurrected or brought back. I expect the same to happen in Endgame... that is of course unless the actor does not want to come back.
I mean that is what happened in the comics though...in fact in the comics everything goes back to exactly the way it was before their final confrontation with Thanos. It was not accomplished through time travel, they actually had an easter egg in the first Infinity War to how it was done, so likely that is not going to be how they do it this time. But it is likely they return most if not all the heroes.
They don't need to kill any heroes to keep people's trust in Marvel, not even sure why that is a thing. I mean basically Marvel just arbitrarily killed a bunch of heroes. Why would people lose trust if they were just as arbitrarily brought back? Now if it was in the heroes personal story lines that they die, that is a different story, but this isn't individual heroes story lines, this is Avengers.
I can wait for Redbox/Netflix. I barely go to the movies any more. I mean we all have 82" 4K monster TVs right? Why do I have to go sit in a sticky seat with children yapping the whole time... I know lots of people that are like "you gotta see it on the big screen"... yeah, not really.

they did die as part of their personal story...all the MCU movies built up each individual hero story over multiple movies...this was supposed to be the culmination of those journeys...the end...I'm not saying to reverse ALL the deaths but good Lord don't bring back every single character that died...that is totally dumb...this is not the comics where things like that happen regularly...this is a movie series adapting some of the story lines...so now what?...a new MCU Phase where another big bad villain is built up over 5-6 movies and the same BS happens all over again where no one dies?
the MCU is too big as is...killing off some major heroes is necessary...it's easy to kill off Peter Parker but keep Spider Man alive...the suit is eternal while the character wearing it can die...have Miles Morales take over as Spider Man...it would have been perfect with the success of that Into the Spider-Verse movie...have Winter Soldier take over for Captain America...have War Machine become the new Iron Man etc etc
No they didn't. They died as part of Avengers, not as part of their own personal stories. And the way they died in IW was arbitrary. It wasn't like they died actually fighting Thanos, they died because he snapped his fingers... It's not at all the same thing.
if you have a Dolby Cinema location nearby that's the only time I recommend going to a theater...the video/audio quality is jawdropping...Nolan's 70mm IMAX movies are also worth seeing on the big screen if you have a real 70mm IMAX screen nearby (not the fake IMAX locations that have been popping up over the past few years)

we have one here, went once and that was once to many.. even if i got free tickets i still wouldn't go again. shit was so damn loud you could barely hear what was being said in the movie and i just flat out couldn't concentrate on watching the movie. ended up walking out mid movie and went to a different theater to finish watching Avengers: Infinity War.
I have been to one. My uncle and I went to go see Star Trek Into Darkness there (never mind that it was a bad movie). It was $30 for both of us at matinee prices. It was certainly loud as fuck. It should have come with a free 4K UHD disc of the movie for that price. Or a free drink or popcorn or something. And it didn't stop the people next to me texting during the entire movie.
Why Dolby Cinema at AMC is the best movie-going experience today
you're getting 500 times the contrast ratio compared to a standard movie projection system, pure black levels, an expanded color gamut and twice the brightness...This is all thanks to a dual-4K Christie laser projection system, designed to support films that have been optimized and color graded for Dolby Vision HDR...Dolby Atmos sound system: five in-screen speakers, 48 surround sound speakers and four ceiling-mounted subwoofers....Want more? The reclining leather chairs have transducers in them, so you'll feel a deep rumble directly in your seat when there's a loud explosion or a crash of lighting...It's the definitive movie-going experience right now...

i was in cali and saw Infinity War on the Sacramento 70mm IMAX nothing can come close to this
there's no point watching Infinity War or Endgame on an IMAX screen because it wasn't filmed with 'real' 70mm IMAX cameras...it's fake IMAX using the Arri Alexa cameras...Christopher Nolan movies like Dunkirk were filmed with 70mm and look stunning on a real IMAX screen
Why oh why did they shoe-horn Capt.Marvel in at the last minute. Really makes no sense.
it was the best experience seeing a movie regardless and both IW movies were shot in imax https://www.imax.com/news/Avengers-Infinity-War-IMAX-Behind-the-Frame
I think he mean't IW = Infinity War, and both referring to infinity war and infinity war 2 (aka End Game). What's an IW movie?

Yay another boring Marvel movie. The heroes will be resurrected one way or another and together they defeat Thanos (even though he is like a god on steroids).

I used to enjoy them but am burned out. You can only churn out the same (or similar) plot in the same universe so many times before it gets stale.
I imagine most, if not all, the "dusted" characters will return (especially as both Chadwick Boseman and Sebastian Stan still have multiple movies left on their contracts) I think the big question is if the people killed before the dusting (Loki, Gamora, Hemidal, etc) will all return. I never really believed that all the dusted characters were actually dead. They're likely all trapped within the soul stone.
If Captain Mary Sue single-handedly saves the day in Endgame, the MCU is dead to me :/
The comic was way more complex and interesting. Here, you're probably right smh...depends on how bad they simplify it.
Exactly. I watch a movie to be entertained, that's all I ask of the movie.Wild how strongly opinionated some people get over these movies. I enjoy them, they are fun.
Apparently they didn't understand that Captain Marvel was meant to be a massively overpowered character. Look in the original comics, she was created to be OP.I feel like all the people screaming Mary Sue
