bruh ngl this is a large reason why I quit playing the game. It devolved into a gooner game in less than a year.

I'm a marvel hater but this game was really fun at first. Really enjoyed the gameplay during the first season, but of course these games are at their peak when they first come out before the meta forms. Melee heroes were really fun to play. I loved that there was a lack of shield tanks in the game, Overwatch feels like a nothing is happening half the time because everybody sits behind a shield. This game felt way more action packed and satisfying.

Other issue I had: quick play gives you bot lobbies whenever you lose a match. Its just a waste of time man. Ranked is better, I found the ranked grind to be enjoyable.

The gooner pivot and seeing what direction the game was going made me decide to quit playing. I will say I'm surprised they haven't added any new shield tanks. I figured the game would have devolved into shield bot gameplay by now

Yeah it is an odd situation, especially when a lot of the hero designs and skins are meant to appeal to female game players.

Also, Rivals has had shield tanks from the start and sadly because of dps players, you need shield tanks (much like OW) to survive as a solo tank in 6v6 or 5v5 of OW. Though I now only play 6v6 comp mode in OW. 5v5 is only tolerable in unranked. I'm not sure the new 10 placement games are going to help Rivals ranked issues as most of my games now are me solo tanking or heal botting the solo tank.

the reason i don't play comp anymore is because I already hit grandmaster 4 seasons in a row

anything past grandmaster is for sweaty kids that look like gremlins and have no life play the game for thousands of hours as mom washes their underwear while they scarf granny's meatloaf without showering for 4 days, def not me I have a life lol

and then they decided to nerf my favorite hero (villain) in the game butchering Ultron

the icing on the cake is that Battlefield 6 released and is my new favorite game, so I'd rather play BF6 over any other game for sure.

although I still love launching rivals and playing a couple quick play games and love the skins Hehe
 
LMAO so you know how this skin costs 2500 units right? I took the chance and spent some of the 100 units I got for free and shot the ballon and first try unlocked the whole 2500-unit bundle skin/mvp/emote/stickers/emojis/etc for 100 units :love::D
Finally, I got lucky the skin is fire love that Japanese anime style aesthetic to it Hehe

So with the free all the free units from this limited time event I got the Hulk Maestro skin for free also :sneaky: 2 of the best skins in the game for free I'll take it! And the MVP intro and stickers and emotes all come with the skins.

Season 9.5 is out August 7th on all platforms and it includes a major texture compression overhaul that should significantly reduce the game’s install size once the update settles in...the developers explained that the patch is expected to trim roughly 40 GB on PC and about 15 GB on both PS5 and Xbox, though the initial Season 9.5 download will be larger than usual because the assets are being repackaged...

Its done to break up competitive ranking a bit, let people not playing anymore drop down in rank, a reset. It is also the main model for selling stuff via a battlepass in a free to play game. The seasons last 2 months or so usually. The half seasons here are for major patch updates, hero balance changes and releasing a new hero and skins to sell.
