can I get it myself? I just set up my first 4 GPU clients on my gamer rig (quad SLI woo!! dual 295's) and Im trying to get it up before I leave for work in 20 minutes, but I cant get the core server, cant dl the core

any ideas

I usually delete the old core and the client will DL a new one? Is this what you're referring to?

I think he's having trouble reaching the Stanford servers...I'm still having issues getting new work units and uploading completed ones as well...

Yeah, I'm having troubles sending and receiving work too, as of about 40 minutes ago (autosend from a WU that I finished a day ago...time's running out...)

No!! I've been at 0ppd for a week and now that I can crank out my first 35k the servers are down? Damn

Vaulter, you need not be disconcerted about DL a new core. You can copy it from an existing installation or someone can send it to you. So, unless Stanford isn't sending work to the GPU clients, and it is, you can fold right away on your rig. :)

I have no existing clients.. Mega upload or something anyone? Help me out? Kinda frustrati g but atleast the rig stays on, last 3 wouldn't even post!

You mean when you install the client, it won't start because it can't grab the necessary files? All you need to do is someone send you their files. Anyone can even send you their entire folder and all you have to do is edit the client.cfg file for your username and delete existing WUs. Then make the necessary shortcuts on the desktop with the appropriate flags for your setup. That's it. That's what I do for any new client, I just copy over existing clients to the new rigs. It's a lot faster that way. Just make sure you have a Cuda-supporting driver (most likely the case).

Thanks for the link, Pedantic. Vaulter, one way or another there's a way to get you up and folding. If I wasn't so busy today I could have been paying closer attention to this thread. Too many hours have passed without resolution.

I fired off a PM about 30min ago with a 7z file containing all the files (program files and roaming), GPU2 and CPU systray, from my working setup, just in case.

Came out to about 5.88mb, with some crap inside.

It's ok. Thanks for the send. Now all 4 have the cores and I've got another problem.

2 gpu's are folding, 2 are insta t EUE. Is there something I'm missing about folding on 295's? I've got dummies and extended desktops, and I've got flags 0 - 3 and folders 1-4 set up, what did I miss?

What 295 is it?

CoOP or Sandwich?

If its a sandwhich the two DVIs are mapped to one GPU, and the HDMI is mapped to the ohter.
So for it to work the the hdmi would have to be active.

hmm... ive got the sandwhich... any links on how to fix?

Yea, but it's an old CRT, had to since my nice 24" got tasked out as tv duty
