Mamba vs Deathadder?

Hi, im new and im happy to know that there is a great forum like this.

So, i wanted to know if anybody has tried razer mamba after he was using deathadder.. what is better? i love my deathadder with my qpad ct (i'd very glad to find a pad whit the same tracking precision and with more friction.. my deathadder doesnt begin crazy when i pull up the mouse from the qpad ct.. but i would have more friction, precision..). i use 1800 dpi (i think.. what is the standard deathadder dpi setting?) with 3 in win windows and 2.2 in counter strike source.. with razer mamba could i always keep this configuration or the laser sensor begins crazy and does what it wants? Because im very interesting in buying razer mamba.. but im not sure. And another thing.. Razer deathadder 3500dpi is good as old 1800 version (the mine..) or it could have tracking problem with low sense as i said for the mamba?

Don't get rid of your Deathadder for a Mamba or any mouse with the Twin-Eye sensor.
 
I dont have any experience with the Mamba, but what Cabbs said is a very good point. Not to mention other small details like the mouse would weigh more because of it being wireless, harder to find replacement feet (I think)...

The 3500 dpi Deathadder vs the old version.... Well I don't know if it is or not since the old version was basically the best in terms of max tracking speed, I haven't seen any tests on the newer edition, but no one has complain about positive or negative accel or reaching max tracking speed...

Just make sure if you go with the 3500dpi to update to the latest firmware or you may have a jitter issue like the Abyssus
 
you say that mamba sensor is worst than deathadder? i think the same.. but i like to think mamba as a deathadder cordless.. maybe it could be that.. so, now i want to change my deathadder with a new 3500dpi version.. does anyone have it? i'd like to know if 3500dpi used by a very low senser is good as a 1800 deathadder, o maybe better.. (perfect tracking, which doesnt become crazy when i pull up the mouse to re-bring it at the center of the pad..)
and does anyone suggest me a good pad for low sense, with a good friction and precision? (but with a perfect tracking as i said up?)

Higher DPI won't help you as a low-sensitivity gamer. I'm a low-sens gamer and I run 400 DPI just fine. Both the 1800 and 3500 behave the same when lifting it off the pad.

I personally like my Supermat which you can get at Fry's for $8.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess the Mamba with battery weighs more.
 
love my deathadder 3500. love high sensitivity with eyefinity. i would avoid the laser mouse though. had an imperator and that guy locked up fairly regularly.
 
I have both (one on each PC). The Mamba is slightly better in my use in every way save one - it has a crappier scroll wheel (the LED scrapes against the wheel). One of these days I'm going to see if I can sand it out.

I'm a high sensitivity gamer with a large pad and almost never lift - low sensitivity gamers may have a different opinion.

so mamba is heavier than deathadder?

anyway, im a low senser and i think to change my deathadder only because it is very ruined. So i would buy a mamba but im not sure it will play as my DA in low sense.. i think i will buy a new DA, but i find only 3500version.. i think they are the same..
 
Getting another Deathadder I think would be the best unless you don't feel like you would notice a more poor sensor in a mouse (many wouldn't). But the deathadder is definitely better (including the newer one)... Another possibility to consider is the Zowie EC series, I'm getting my Zowie EC2 (smaller than the deathadder but similar shape) Monday and I'll let you know how that is.
 
Since you're a low-sensitivity gamer like me, take a look at the Intellimouse 3.0 I find it to be one of the most comfortable mice out there and they aren't expensive.

YES! I thought I was the only one...

I've been having problems with my DA lately; the tracking seems to "skip" on 2 of my pc's. I also have a goliathus pad, which is starting to wear out at the edges after only ONE WEEK of use (not normal wear, like severe ripping and loose ends). Not very satisfied with Razer right now...

Yes the Mamba is heavier (battery included) but when used wirelessly (still keeps the 1000ms polling / low lag) it feels lighter or less encumbered while moving because there is no drag from the cord. I never thought the cord mattered in gaming until it was gone. It's not a huge difference, but whatever. It is heavier to lift, (not excessively so IMHO, but you should test it out.) Finally, with a Mamba or other mice with new sensors, you need to have the right mat for high sens / low sens, although that is true with most mice.
 
I bought the death adder and returned it the same day. Can't comment on the mamba, but I really didn't like the button spacing or design on the adder.
