I just got an LSI 9260-4i to run my 4x 60GB OCZ Summits in RAID0.

One problem, it isn't initializing at boot. In Windows however the card is shown in the device manager.

I have tried all three PCI-E x16 slots on my motherboard.

I'm thinking I got screwed here by DFI's BIOS being screwy and not properly detecting the card.

Thoughts?

EDIT:

Oh just great: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=228310

Sorry about your raid card incompatibility. That sucks hard.

Will you be using the controller or looking to sell it now? I'm in the market for one myself. I have an Adaptec 2405 here that I could offer up as a partial trade + some cash if you're interested.

Yup that means you won't be able to boot from the card. Of course with linux you could still use it as the boot drive but that is because on linux you can just have the 2-5 MB kernel on another HD or USB stick which loads all the drivers and thus can access the raid array and boot the OS off of it (once the kernel is loaded). This is the method I use with a promise controller in my mythbox which isn't detected at boot by the mobo.
