Why research new technology and build the factories required to build them when you can sell the same thing with "more features and thinness."
 
looks promising but I doubt we will see monitors with this technology anytime soon
 
Well the last news that's been out was in 2010, so I think it may have died.
 
I visit oled-info.com a few times a week. It's the only place that I've found that's covering new display tech regularly. Something tells me if SED comes back they won't have in depth coverage of that topic, but what are the odds of that happening ;)
