I have my Logitech 5.1 speakers connected to my PC over Optical cable. Using the onboard Realtek audio on my Asus Z77 board.
Before I was using analog 5.1 cables and everything was fine.
I decided to try Optical out, switched the speakers to optical in and set realtek to DTS Connect and most of the time its fine, this usually only happens in windows. Whenever I have one of those short windows sounds play, instead of actual sound I get a very loud pop or bang noise, depending how high speakers were set, sometimes it can make you jump.
anyone ever had something like this?
