The computer is a Vista 32bit machine (Lenovo 3000 J-Series). It doesn't have this problem in safe mode and sometimes works in normal mode. Basically, the computer will start up perfectly and once it has completed the "loading bar screen" the screen will go black and my TV/Monitor will say "unsupported video input". I know this isn't a ton of information but i'm not sure what else is relevant. If you want to know something just ask.

go into safe mode and remove the video drivers through the device manager and make sure (if you have the option) to delete the driver files from the system

restart and you should be good to go as windows will install the generic or default drivers

do you know when you started having this problem? maybe you installed a display driver that didn't play nice?

It's not my computer so unfortunately I don't have much information in regards to a timeline. I will re-install the drivers and go from there. Thanks.

When I let windows pick and install the driver it seems to have worked fine (only time will confirm). I had reinstalled the driver before I made this thread but I downloaded it myself so maybe Vista picked a different version.

See if you can get a specific model number for the Graphics Card, then dl the drivers direct from AMD/Nvidia. Those are usually the most stable/reliable.
